The Vertical Engine model

Most software companies pick one of two paths: build a horizontal platform that tries to serve every industry, or build a single product and bet the whole company on it. We picked a third path, and we call it the Vertical Engine.

The model has four moves. Fusion comes first — every product starts on the same engineering core: shared identity, shared infrastructure, shared discipline, instead of being rebuilt from scratch each time. Build comes next — we take that foundation and build a focused product for one market's real workflow, not a generic tool stretched to fit everyone. Grow is the proof stage — real usage, real customers, a market position worth owning. And Handoff is the last move: once a product earns its own focus, we let it stand on its own instead of holding on forever.

MarbleMap is our first product to go through all four moves, currently in the Grow stage. Every product after it inherits the same foundation, which is the whole point — the engine gets better with every vertical it powers.
